We enjoyed visiting the third grade wax museum. The first graders had a blast pushing the buttons and learning about famous people. It was a fun way to share their biography projects.
On Wednesday we visited 2B. We prepared questions ahead of time to ask the second graders about second grade. It was very informative and we learned a lot. In Social studies they study Japan, Hopi, Ghana, to name a few. They do animal research and study mapping too. Ask your child about second grade.
Being a new mommy is a lot of fun. Josh and I have been enjoying watching her grow. We love hearing her coo and make sounds. She is starting to respond and smile and laugh. Ellie has started to practice tummy time and is getting stronger every day. It is hard to be away from her during the day but I know she is loved and cared for by our family members while I am at work.
I am happy to be back for the last 2 1/2 weeks of school to see all my first graders. Wow, have they grown up. It is amazing how much bigger they all look and how they have matured. During the last few weeks of school we have a lot of fun doing end of the year projects. We will have BBB- Beach Blanket books this Wednesday and will visit the 3rd grade Wax Museum this Friday. We will also be visiting ALL the second grade classrooms and meeting the second grade teachers. We will be asking current second graders questions and learning about second grade. This will help first graders to prepare for their transition into second grade. This week we will be doing a lot of end of the year activities and begin the end of the year clean up where the children and teachers work together to pack up the classroom. This helps the students to work as a community and process the transition.
